Get a Mid-Day Boost Without the Caffeine

Feeling drained and depleted during your day? Don’t fall for that caffeine fix. Instead, try one of energy-boosting tricks to give you that much-needed uplift.

Stand up from your seat and go for a walk.
Even a quick jaunt around the office a few times will instantly get your blood flowing and fresh oxygen into your system.

Cool down.
A warmer air setting can make you feel a little too comfortable and breed more lethargy. Try slightly lowering the room temperature, turning on a fan, cracking a window or misting with water to cool down. Your body will begin to burn a few more calories trying to heat itself up and your heart rate will get that energy flowing.

Drink water.
When tiredness hits, usually dehydration is to blame. Try drinking at least two eight-ounce glasses of water daily. Hydration is key to sustaining energy and alertness during your day.

Listen to upbeat music.
Listening to lively music can instantly increase your heart rate. Get your toes tapping to your favorite tunes and enjoy the much-appreciated mood boost and energy uplift.
